Meet Dr. Phillips
Dr. Nancy Phillips is an Ordained and Licensed Minister of the Gospel, Doctor of Psychology in Health and Wellness, Certified Women's Coach, and Certified Christian Counselor dedicated to helping women grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally through a Christ-centered approach.
As a Guyanese American and the daughter of immigrant parents, Dr. Phillips understands the value of perseverance, faith, and hard work. She credits much of her educational journey to the unwavering support of her mother, whose prayers, encouragement, and belief in God's calling on her life inspired her to pursue higher education and remain faithful to her purpose. In honor of her mother's legacy of faith, sacrifice, and steadfast prayer, Dr. Phillips dedicates this ministry to her memory and influence.
Through biblical teaching, faith-based counseling, coaching, speaking engagements, and ministry leadership, Dr. Phillips equips women to overcome challenges, strengthen their relationship with Christ, and walk confidently in their God-given purpose. Her passion is to see women experience healing, restoration, emotional wellness, and spiritual growth while navigating the unique demands of faith, family, relationships, and ministry.
Dr. Phillips is the founder of Her Hope Christian Counseling Solutions, a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to supporting women's emotional and spiritual wellness. Stronger Together: Faith and Community in Wellness
San Antonio, Texas Event
The following was presented by Dr. Nancy Phillips at a preventive health conference in San Antonio, Texas. It focused on how faith-based community supports emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, and how connection plays a key role in healing and growth.
If you are here, it means you took a moment to reflect. That matters. Because many people hear messages… but very few take the time to pause, process, and respond. You did!
View your Worksheet: Stronger Together Reflection worksheet and then use the answer key below.
🟣 Acknowledge Their Reflection
What you wrote on that page was not random.
It revealed something.
Maybe you recognized areas where you feel unsupported.
Maybe you realized you have been carrying more than you should.
Maybe you saw a gap between what you know… and what you have been living out.
Whatever came up for you—it matters.
🟣 GIVE THEM ACTION (VERY IMPORTANT)
Now that you have reflected, it is time to respond.
Do not leave this as awareness only.
Choose one step:
Reach out to someone you trust
Recommit to spending time with God this week
Begin looking for a faith-based community that will support your growth
Or take a step toward building the kind of community you need
Start small—but start.
🟣 ENCOURAGEMENT
Growth may feel uncomfortable.
You may outgrow certain spaces.
You may begin to see things differently.
That is part of the process.
Do not mistake growth for isolation.
God is developing you—and He will connect you to what you need.
🟣 CLOSING
You are not alone.
And you do not have to continue carrying everything by yourself.
Take what you wrote…
and take your next step.
🟣 Bring Them Back to Truth
You were never meant to do this alone.
God did not design you to carry everything by yourself.
Community is not optional.
It is necessary for growth, healing, and strength.
🟣 FAITH SECTION
If you wrote that you do not know how to begin…
Start here:
Open your Bible.
Spend a few quiet minutes in prayer.
Ask God for direction, clarity, and consistency.
You do not have to have it all figured out.
You just have to begin.
🟣 COMMUNITY CALL
And if you do not currently have a Christ-centered community…
Be intentional about finding one.
And if you feel led to build one…
Be obedient.
Because what you need… someone else may need too.
